The holistic approach to
your songwriting career. |
About ASCSAASC Songwriter Assist IncĀ® is a new non-profit Incorporated Association designed to assist and support Australian songwriters in matters pertaining to all aspects of their craft, career and lifestyle. ASCSA follows the 'Model Rules for Incorporated Associations' under the Associations Incorporation Act, 1984. From January 2010 ASCSA is holding 'Gatherings' on the 2nd Thursday of each month on the NSW Central Coast for songwriters wanting to learn more about the craft and business of songwriting. These 'Gatherings' consist of workshops seminars and networking nights - all designed to help you, the songwriter, with your craft and career:
ASCSA has established monthly acoustic performance evenings for songwriters called "Song Feast". Currently held only on the central Coast, we plan to expand Song Feast into other regions around Australia in time to come. Song Feast offers songwriters (performing and non-performing) the opportunity to present their original material to an appreciative audience in an intimate environment of music, great food and a supportive atmosphere. ASCSA is establishing affiliations with industry and other service providers who provide discounts, special offers and professional services to our members. Eventually, our professional affiliations will grow to cover all aspects of songwriting, music industry and everyday general goods and services for our membership. If you know of a great business, service or product, either within the music industry or in the general marketplace that you believe would be valuable to our members, email the details to info@ascsa.org.au so we can follow up possible discounts and special services for ASCSA members. The Songster is our magazine for members - and all songwriters. It has been established to keep members up-to-date with ASCSA information, music industry news and songwriting articles, and as with the orgainsation, will continue to grow and evolve. We welcome member news and article contributions for the e-zine. Send your items to info@ascsa.org.au with "Songster Item" in the Subject field. The website is growing and evolving with the needs of our membership, the organisation and the services we offer, and in the future, ASCSA aims to establish walk-in branches around Australia making many more services available to members. Volunteers are needed to assist in various areas of Australia and in the organisation itself, so if you can spare a few hours here and there, or you have skills that could help us in these early stages of development, please contact ASCSA President, Lisa Butler directly on mobile 0412 149 094 or email info@ascsa.org.au. |
