The holistic approach to
your songwriting career. |
Now in its third year, The Australian Songwriters Conference is an annual four day event, held each June long weekend. The conference takes place at Ettalong beach on the beautiful NSW Central Coast, about an hour north of Sydney. The ASC is unique in that it is open to all songwriters, regardless of age, location, songwriting experience or genre. Songwriters do not need to be members of existing organisations, and the conference agenda is packed full of seminars, workshops and other activities relevant to both performing and non-performing songwriters. REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN FOR ASC 2010! The dates for the next ASC are Friday 11th to Monday 14th June 2010.
ASCSA DISCOUNT AVAILABLE. This is an intimate event designed to give attendees maximum exposure to Music Publishers, Industry Professionals and Hit Songwriters on the Faculty, so with LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE you need to sign up early to avoid missing out!
ASC Songwriter Assist Inc is proud to present this new monthly acoustic songwriters performance evening! A Song Feast evening is currently being held on the first Wednesday of each month on the Central Coast - and Song Feasts are being planned for other regions around Australia (so if you would like to host a monthly Song Feast in your city/region - please contact us!) Each month, 8-10 talented songwriters have the opportunity to perform their original songs to an appreciative audience in the warm and intimate ambiance of the Beef And Barramundi Bar & Grill at the Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort. The evening encompasses all music genres from Folk to Rock, Country to Dance/R&B, and everything in between. We welcome solo performing songwriters right through to full bands - the only rule is: you must play acoustically. Songwriters wishing to perform their work must pre-book. Due to the time constraints, only pre-booked songwriters can perform on the evening. Song Feast is also a fund-raising activity for ASC Songwriter Assist. Songwriters support the non-profit organisation by paying a small fee to play, and the audience is encouraged to show their appreciation to the writers and ASCSA with tips. So where does the money go? A full songwriter activities schedule for 2010 is about to be released which includes songwriting workshops, song critiquing and pitching with top publishers, hit and award-winning songwriters and performing artists, and seminars and workshops for demo production, publishing, voice, and other aspects of the craft and business of songwriting. ASCSA members, as well as non-members will be able to attend the activities. ASCSA members enjoy specials, discounts and other benefits. Contact Lisa Butler for more details and to book a time slot.
